MORE ABOUT ME & MY PHILOSOPHY

MORE ABOUT ME...

Raised in Somerset, England, Alex began his golf journey at Enmore Park Golf Club, where he remains a proud member two decades later. His early talent earned him a golf scholarship to Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he captained the NCAA Division I golf team and won the National Minority Collegiate Golf Championship twice.

After graduating, Alex turned professional to compete on mini tours in the UK and Europe. While competitive golf helped refine his own performance mindset, it was the transition into coaching that truly defined his path. Returning to his home club, he immersed himself in teaching full-time, quickly earning a reputation for his clarity, communication, and ability to improve players of all backgrounds.

Alex’s student roster has spanned aspiring juniors, elite amateurs, college athletes, and full-time professionals. He has led junior development pipelines, served as a performance coach to national-level players, and continues to work with international clients through his online coaching platform. Every program Alex runs is carefully structured, collaborative in nature, and built around clear benchmarks for improvement.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Alex’s coaching philosophy is player-centred and development-focused, grounded in the belief that each golfer’s swing and progression should be as individual as their goals. His instruction blends setup fundamentals, impact geometry, cause-and-effect understanding, and movement screening to design effective and sustainable development plans. As a TPI-certified coach, Alex integrates physical screening where necessary to tailor technical work to each player’s physical capabilities—ensuring progress is both efficient and injury-resistant.

Known for his thorough but approachable style, Alex blends technical understanding, game management, skill acquisition, and competitive prep in a holistic coaching model. His work also extends into coach development, helping younger professionals understand the craft of instruction, philosophy-building, and long-term player planning.

Whether teaching in person or online, Alex’s mission is to inspire confidence, improve understanding, and help players perform at levels they didn’t think possible. Through a combination of honest feedback, structured progression, and collaborative communication, he aims to create lasting change and elevated performance in every student he works with.
